KMuddy On Windows

This page describes how to test the alpha version of KMuddy on Windows.

Get KDE

You need KDE in order to run KMuddy. We've simplified the installation of it into a single package, because at the time of writing the KDE installer on windows was unusable.

Download the archive here and extract it to the C: drive (not C:\KDE4, just C:), such that you get C:\KDE4. You'll need 7zip to extract it.

Get KMuddy

Download the KMuddy archive here, and save it anywhere on the C: drive. Double click on install.bat to install it for the first time, and then run run-kmuddy.bat to start KMuddy.

Use run-kmuddy.bat to start KMuddy each time.

That's it!

How did it go?

Please report all findings - complaints, suggestions, ideas to our KMuddy forums. Please keep in mind that this is an alpha version of KMuddy; and the client is undergoing a lot of design and structural changes.

Thank you!
