KMuddy 1.0.1 released

The 1.0.1 version of KMuddy is now available for download. This is a bugfix release for the 1.0 series - no new features have been added.

The following issues have been resolved:

  • Fixed a problem causing whole-words to not be properly applied when loading aliases
  • Fixed a problem causing profiles to not be loaded/saved correctly on first start
  • Arithmetic expressions will once again work correctly with floating-point numbers on locales that have something other than "." as a decimal separator
  • Error output from scripts will be correctly displayed now
  • /notify will work correctly once again
  • Scripts that communicate variables will no longer crash KMuddy
  • The multi-line dialog will no longer skip empty lines
  • Fixed some more crashes

KMuddy 1.0 released

It has been a long way, but at last, the first stable KDE4-based version of KMuddy is available. You can obtain it from the download page. The complete list of changes is available in the changelog, which is distributed as a part of the KMuddy sources. The more important changes since the 0.8 release include:

  • port to KDE4
  • a new object system, which greatly enhanced functionality of aliases, triggers and other objects
  • objects (aliases, triggers, ...) can now be organized in a hierarchical group structure
  • an improved editor is provided for easy manipulation with groups and objects
  • the object editor is no longer modal - you can switch between the editor and the main KMuddy window without having to interrupt alias/trigger/... editing
  • profile information is stored in a XML-based structure. A converter is provided for importing KMuddy 1.0 profiles into KMuddy 1.0
  • a mapper is now available
  • many dialog boxes are now dockable and non-modal
  • a MUD list is now available, thanks to The MUD Connector.
  • and many bugfixes and other improvements

Enjoy the release !

New site wiki

I have switched the site to a different wiki engine, which would be better suited to our needs. There isn't much content available as of now, but I will be gradually adding documentation of all the important KMuddy's functionality.
